Biblical History

From Canaan to Israel

When did the title become the land of Israel and not the people of Israel?

They are called the people with children of Israel, but never the land.

1Samuel13:19

2 Kings 52:4

2 Kings 6:23

In all of these Scriptures the land is really the word for territory as in tribal territory

Ezekiel 7:2

Ezekiel 12:19

Ezekiel 21:3

Prophecy against the land is equal to the people it was never the land but the people that ETERNAL wanted to dwell with.

Genesis 15:18 – 21

The land/ country to all the descendents of Abraham.

NOTE* In some translations there are a few added words, namely, "the land of". These words are not a part of the text but was added by the readactor. The descendants are the nations named in this passage.

Genesis 25:1 – 6

Children of the east from Abraham.

The land was promised to ALL the children of Abraham. All of the descendents of Abraham make up the tribes of the lands of the Middle East. Remember that Ishmael is also a descendant of Abraham and was given 12 nations that would come from his lineage.

Exodus 4:22 – 23

My first - born, my son the upright.

Exodus 19:3 –8

The chosen people and their response to the agreement was:

" All that you have said, we will do" or "we will obey even before we have heard"

Na'aseh V'nishmah = All that you have said we will do.

Sirach 24:1 –9

Wisdom was given to the chosen people, but the people already in the land would remain.

The fulfilment of the promise:

Joshua 24:11 - 13

11 You went over the Jordan, and came to Jericho: and the men of Jericho fought against you, the Amorite, and the Perizzite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Girgashite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite; and I delivered them into your hand. 12 I sent the hornet before you, which drove them out from before you, even the two kings of the Amorites; not with your sword, nor with your bow. 13 I gave you a land whereon you had not labored, and cities which you didn 't build, and you dwell therein; of vineyards and olive groves which you didn' t plant do you eat.

This passage indicates the area of the two Amorite kings was given to the Upright to dwell in. The ETERNAL promised to drive out the inhabitants and HE did. It was not to be completed with the sword of the Upright, but by the hand of our Creator.
Exodus 34 – the seven laws = The covenant

  1. You will worship no other Elohim...
  2. Make no pact with the inhabitants of the land...
  3. You will not make images for yourself...
  4. Observe the feast of Unleavened Bread...
  5. Six days will you work, but the seventh day you will rest
  6. Observe the feast of Weeks...
  7. Three times in the year, will you appear before me...
Put these words in writing, for they are the terms of the covenant which I have made with you (Moshe) and the Upright.

Isaiah 56:1 –7

If we take hold of the Covenant, we become the Chosen People!

Who are the Chosen/Upright people? Those that obey the ETERNAL'S commands.

Isaiah 49:16

He has us engraved on the palm of his hand, the upright people!
KAF = THE PALM = 20

YOD = THE HAND = 20 (the word YOD gematria is 20, but the letter is 10)

Kavanah begins with Kaf. Kavanah is the Intent or Concentration that we must approach the ETERNAL with.

The uplifted KAF/palm of the YOD/hand to the Creator in humility and submission when we approach in Tefillah (prayer).

Can you imagine for a moment the absolute horror one would experience if another group of people came to your home, with an army carrying guns, and forced you and your family out! No time to pack, no opportunity to gather your belongings, just OUT! I am a Hebrew believer in the Torah of the ETERNAL ONE of the Upright and I live out the instructions found in the Torah to the best of my ability; however, I can not find the command that gives any group of people, thousands of years after the fact, the right to kill, steal and destroy another people. Where is THAT in the true TORAH of our ETERNAL?
Before we take up arms and set out to destroy those the media has convinced us are terrorist, please take a look at this video to see and consider the other side of the story.

Take a look at the historical events described in the bible.

Did the Exodus take place as told in the scriptures? What do you think of this documentary's information concerning the Exodus?
